  • Nigerian Women affairs, first ladies and the name Elizabeth

    Check the write up Below.

  • Mariam,Maryam Abacha,Saint Elizabeth,and Queen Elizabeth,Magaret Oloruntomiwo Audu

There are some strange developments between Nigeria and Hungary on the one hand and Nigeria and Britain on the other in respect of Maryam Abacha,ex First Lady of Nigeria and wife of the erstwhile dictator General Sani Abacha.

Maryam Abacha became first Lady on November 17 1993 which marks the anniversary of the death( or the feast )of Saint Elizabeth of hungary.Like Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Maryam abacha built A hospital Now referredto as the National Hospital but formerly Women and Childrens hospital.

Saint Elizabeth of Hungary further inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi whose feast day is octobe 4, distributed her husbands wealth to the sick and to the poor.
Maryam Abacha, who had course to mark October 1 as Nigeias day of independence, had her project, Family Support programme and FAMILy economic advancement programme. But its not exactly known the motive..
There is very little on FSP and FEAP on the Web.

Saint Elizabeth of Hungary was born on July 7 1231 and the most prominent political prisoner of Sani Abacha ,M,K . O. Abiola died on July 7 1998 exactly a month(June 8 1998) after Sani Abacha.

Queen Elizabeth i of England became Queen on November 17 1558. she suceeded Mary 1, Queen of Scots. She brought about a golden age and greatness to England. She lived in the same times as the dramatist William Shakespeare(W.S).
She had cause to observe January 15 the anniversary of her coronation ceremony.
Queen Elizabeth 1 died on 24th March 1603.

Maryam Abacha became first Lady on November 17 1993 . She Suceeded Mary-am Abacha and lives in the same times as Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka(W.S.),Soyinka has been compared with William Shakespeare.
As a soldiers wife she had cause to mark January 15 the Armed forces Rememberance day.
Maryam Abacha was born 4th March 1947.

I think Maryam Abacha should read more about Elizabeth of Hungary and Queen Elizabeth. If there are no sinners there wold be no Saints. She need both a spiritual adviser and a political adviser

On the Board of trustees of Family Support programme, Abuja was Chief (Mrs.) Magaret Oloruntomiwo Audu born November 16 1938 and died July 3 2006. Do not forget we said Saint Elizabeth was born July 7 and died November 17.Chief Audu was a great Achiever .Like elizabeth of Hungary she was of Royal ancestry and like Queen Elizabeth 1, she cultivated a great love for literature.
Chief Oloruntomiwo took a post graduate diploma from,Queen Elizabeth College, University of London, served as Principal of Queen Elizabeth colege,Ilorin ,Nigeria and met with Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Nigeria in 1956. readmore at this link

Interestingly on the committee on Women Affairs ,House of representatives,National house of assembly in Nigeria is another Elizabeth O. Ogbaga and at the highest levels of the Administration of FSP and FEAP was another Elizabeth.
Maryam Abacha handed over to Fatimah Abubakar,First Lady ,who attended Queen Elizabeth College,Ilorin.Fatimah Abubakars husband,General Abdusalami Abubakar served as chairman of the Advancement centre, University of Ibadan,.University of Ibadan was founded on November 17 1948,Saint Elizabeth of Hungary day and it has as its most Famous hall of residence, the Womens quarters, Queen Elizabeth Hall.

I am the Author of the Book,Uncanny-Geo politico-Historical Coincidences available at uncannycoincidences.ning.com its on coincidences between Nigeria and other parts of the develped world. You can down load an abridge copy free of charge.
