How serious are these discussions about a Nigerian bomb, do you think? (I have never heard of this before.)

Akinyemi thought Nigeria could make a bomb in the Indian fashion up to about four years ago.The idea of a nuclear weapon developed in Nigeria had been around for quite a while especially during the regime of the Apartheid south Africa. The centre for energy reseach University of Ife Now Obafemi Obafemi Awolowo University, was thought to be a response to the Nuclear weapons programme of South Africa but it never got off the ground as far as aquiring a Nuclear reactor or particle accelerator.

Akinyemi had long spoken about a black Bomb to be developed by Nigeria up to about four years ago. The idea of a nuclear weapon to be developed by Nigeria had beeen around for quite a while particularly during the heights of the apartheid regime in South Africa.The centre for energy Research and development (CERD) of the university of Ife,Now Obafemi Awolowo University was believed to be a response to Nuclear weapons in South Africa but it never really tok off as far as the acquisition of a nuclear reactor was concerned

I personally feel that Nigeria does not need nuclear weapons.There are other fundamental things to address.
